Requirements
â— 3-5 years experience developing software applications in a commercial or institutional environment; agency experience is a plus.
â— Strong knowledge of PHP5, MySQL, Apache, jQuery, CSS, HTML
â— Experience with developing Facebook apps (FBML, FBJS, XFML etc)
â— Experience with creating and consuming RESTful APIs
â— Experience with CakePHPor other MVC frameworks
â— Self motivated, and be able to multitask
â— Strong object oriented programming knowledge
Qualities:
â— Passionate and excited about technology, web scale architecture, web 2.0, social, mobile applications and content management systems
â— Enjoys working with the latest technologies, 3rd party applications, and social networking apps and wants to push the edge of web development
â— Believes the best applications can be developed inexpensively and have yet to be developed
â— Ability to drive projects through to completion on time/on budget, with or without supervision
â— Can communicate technical difficulties in a productive manner
â— Clear and useful code documentation
â— Aptitude for learning new technologies and adapting to changes in process or requirements
â— Can be part of or lead a collaborative team with excellent communication skills, creativity, and innovative thinking
â— Comfortable presenting complex technical ideas and business topics to team members and clients
â— Self starter/motivator; ownership and pride in your own work
