Summary
We need a server-side engineer to create and enhance the core infrastructure that supports both the website as well as our order fulfillment system. The scope of work includes writing programmatic site APIs, automating the order fulfillment process, providing engineering support for front-end site features, and programmatic interfacing with third party partner APIs.
The core skills required are PHP, MySQL/SQL, subversion, Linux (shell scripting/iptables/sshd/etc), Apache, memcached, a complete knowledge of HTTP & HTTPS.
Nice-to-have skills are NGINX, Fastcgi, Magento, CSS/DHTML/JavaScript, SOAP, and MySQL replication.
The platform is Linux (RHEL), NGINX, Fastcgi, Magento (CMS), PHP, MySQL, and memcached.
Minimum qualifications include:
•Experience/ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment.
•Experience working on a website that is high traffic, high volume and high data transactions.
•Experience in working in all phases of the development cycle.
•Experience maintaining and developing a high-volume MySQL RDBMS.
