PHP - Web Developer / Confidential / Chicago, IL
We are seeking a passionate, skilled IT professional with a diverse background in application development, infrastructure support, and vendor management/off-the-shelf application support. This person will be the go-to resource for all information technology in the organization, as well as the primary liaison between management and technology implementation specialists.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
Web site maintenance for existing customer-facing sites
Provide resource assistance (application programming as needed), project management expertise, and guidance to 3rd party application developers in support of emerging on-line initiatives
First line of support for office technical infrastructure including Apple laptops, desktops, file servers, email, data back-up and recovery, application servers and offsite hosting facing
IT support for CRM applications (report writing, custom configuration, data extracts and imports)
Excellent communication skills
Key Requirements
3-5 years experience in application programming using PHP (Experience with PHP MVC Framework; Kohana preferred)
1-3 years experience supporting office infrastructure based on Apple technology
Demonstrated SQL and/or MySQL database proficiency
Experience with LAMP server support
Familiarity with Git version control
Familiarity with Adobe CS4
HTML proficiency
Demonstrated expertise in the use of common content management systems
Ability to explain technical concepts and use of technology to a business-oriented constituency
Self-motivated
Ability to multi-task

Ability to work independently and as a team player
