We are seeking an Engineering Manager- International that will manage the development, creation, and modification of computer applications software or specialized utility programs as required. The Engineering Manager- International will oversee the developers' software design and implementation for client with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. This position will work with international clients and needs to understand the complexity of working across various cultures and time zones.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage the development of customer oriented web applications
• Lead and develop teams
• Translate business requirements into technical requirements and plans for implementation
• Track team milestones and report project status to the professional services, product management and engineering teams
• Mentor and problem-solve coding decisions with Lead Developers
• Facilitate communications with professional service staff, product management and clients to ensure that projects are properly specified before work begins
• Assign bugs fixes and projects to appropriate development resource
• Aid and facilitate design and architectural decisions
• Effectively interact with clients and coworkers based in different locations and time zones
• Flexibility to occasionally shift schedule to work with European time zones
• Offer coding support and urgent bug analysis as required
• Analyze and design databases within an application area
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Periodic travel may be required
What you'll need to bring to the table:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
• A minimum of five years professional experience managing developers in a LAMP environment (the ideal candidate will have managed a team of at least 5 Developers)
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems
• Systems Analysis/Software Architectural skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to track large projects, or a large number of small tasks
• Multilingual is a plus
